Austmine is the leading not-for-profit industry association for the Australian Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) sector. University of Adelaide

By every measure, the University of Adelaide—a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight research-intensive universities—stands tall among the world’s leading institutions of learning and innovation.

The University of Adelaide hosts the Institute for Mineral & Energy Resources (IMER) which is the point of contact for the University of Adelaide strategic research interests related to mineral and energy resources, facilitating collaborative research between the higher education sector and industry.

On Thursday 11 March, the University of Adelaide launch the Australian Critical Minerals Research Centre which carries out multidisciplinary research in the discovery and extraction of critical minerals to benefit society. The only centre of its kind in Australia, and one of only a few worldwide the centre aims to increase Australia’s sovereign supply of critical minerals, including how they are found, refined and manufactured, how they occur as by-products in other deposits, and how they can be separated from non-target elements.

We actively pursue cutting-edge, modern energy system projects, to create a vision for a more sustainable world. We collaborate across the globe to make this vision a reality.
